The circulation of the paper has been increased by another fifty copies. Advertisers will appreciate the fact that another fifty households are receiving a constant reminder of the fact that "good shopping" can be obtained in Lower Hutt. * ♦ • The Hutt Road ramp to which we recently drew the attention of the Petone Borough Council is now illuminated by two lamps. It is rumoured that the Benefit Entertainers have been approached regarding the raising of the revenue for these. .* * * Another train per week has been added to the generous time-table of trains to Waterloo. We are informed on good authority that the Limited will still run as usual. * * * Twenty-three motor cars and five Fords were parked in the Main Street on Wednesday night. The By-Laws Committee will, it is presumed, prepare some further legislation to cope with the matter. We respectfully draw their attention to the merits of weed-killer. * -> * The Wellington Amateur Radio Society will broadcast from 2YA its meeting on Wednesday, 26th. Our local Council might easily take a leaf from the book of this Society and "air" its business a little more freely. * * * The advertisement that recently appeared for a couple to act as caretakers of the Baths called for a man and wife who can both swim well. We understand that it has caused somewhat of a sensation to movie artists who regard it as a breach of privilege. * ♦ * It is cheaper to use the public telephone bureau for Wellington calls than it is to use your private 'phone. * * * • Many of the new business premises in the town have no street number.
