LOWER HUTT MUNICIPAL BAND

The Band was well to the fore at the recent Easter Gala on the Recreation Ground, and under Conductor A. O. Kaye, rendered a varied and enjoyable programme of music.

Again on Anzac Day the Band paraded with the troops, marched to the Recreation' Ground, and participated in the Anzac Service.

Funds are very low at present, and with a view to meeting running expenses a concert by the "Petone Benefit Entertainers" is being arranged for an early date.

Bandsmen are rendering yeomen service to the district, and citizens are appealed to to attend this concert and help to relieve the Band of financial embarrassments. — H. Willis Band Secretary. *
