HUTT VALLEY LADIES' HOCKEY CLUB
The Sixth 'Annual Meeting of the Hutt Valley Ladies' Hockey Club was held on Thursday last, in the Lodge Room, Town Hall Buildings, when there was a good attendance of both old and new members. The Annual report and balance sheet were presented and received. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, H. Baldwin, Esq.; Vice-presidents: Mesdames Cameron, Harman, Ginger, Wilford, Eddie, Baumber, Palmer and Dawson Messrs D. Fraser, R. G. House, Hislop, J. Judd and Chapman. Club Captain: Miss C. Lowe. Hon. Sec. and Treasurer: Mrs. M. McMillan. Management Committee: Mesdames Taylor and Smith. Misses M. Lowe,, Levy, D. Judd, M. Rousell, V. Fraser and E. Palmer. The club hopes to enter three teams in the competitions, which is anticipated will be interesting especially in view of the fact that the Associatnon's Cup is at present held by the local club. Mr. King, who is a very enthusiastic hockey supporter, has kindly offered to coach the teams during the season, and this, together with the thorough gymnasium training under the supervision of Mr. Cox, should assist the senior team in again winning championship honours. During 1926 season representative honours were gained by four members of the Hutt Valley Club—Miss M. Fraser (for the sixth time) Miss D. Judd and Mesdames B. Taylor and A. Smith. The 1927 season will commence the first Saturday in May, and as there are still one or two vacancies in the teams the Secretary will be pleased to receive names for enrolment.
