Wheat is firm at recent rates. There s very little business doing in maize, prices remaining the r ame. Oats show a slightly firmer - tendency but tiiere i no business passing. Pollard and bran show 110 cbage. There is a good demand for dressed pork and supplies are short. Eggs axe soarc© and firmer in plice. Poultry is in good demand and fair prices are being realized l .
Green peas are now in better demand and prices have risen. Regular supplies of French beans are coming| to hand and meet with keen competition. Cabbage i coming in more plentifully and prices are lower. Choice cauliflower is still - scarce and prime lines 'aire (realizing high prices. On account of the long spell fef dry weather root vegetables are backward and choice lines arriving meet with good sale® at fair prices. Lettuce is plentiful and price lower. There is a fair demand for spring onions, parsley 1 and minit.
