Rifie Shooting
LEVIN DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the Levin Defence Rifle Club ware to resume the competitions, but as there were only a few turned up it was decided to have a sweepstake, conditions: ten shots at 200 yards, with handicaps. The best score® were:— 200 hdp. Tl. Rifleman S. Butt 43 3 46 Captain P. Jones 45 ■ — 45 Rifleman J. Munro 44 — 44 Niext Saturday' the pompetitions will be resumed; ranges 500 and 700 yardis; seven shots each distance. On January 22nd and 23rd the Wellington District iß'ifle Meeting will be held (on the Putiki rifle range, Wanganui). The program is a generous one, and should attract many rifle slvots of this district.
