Supplies of potatoes are limited; thotre is an excellent demand and prices Ji-ave hardened. Wheat is linn at recent rates. There s very little business doing in maize, prices remaining the ame. Oats show a- slightly firmer tendency but there' i 110 business passing. Pollard and bran show no ilia.ge. Thc-ire is a good demand for Pressed pork and supplies arc short. Eggs are scarce and firmer in plice. Poiiltry is in good demand and fair prices are being realized. G'reeu peas are now in better demand and prices have risen. Regular supplies of French beans are coining to hand and meet with keen competition. Cabbage i coming in more, plentifully and prices are lower. ] Choice cauliflower is still scarce and prime lines aire (realizing high prices. On account of the long spell of dry weather root vegetables are backward and choice lines arriving meet- with good sales at fair prices. Lettuce is plentiful and price lower.
