There is liesn competition for clean 'well graded lines. Wheat is firm at recent rates. Maize has a weakening tendency. Oat® are steady and little business doing. Pollard and bran show no change. Dresged pork is very scarce and the demand good. Eggs remain firm at recent rates. (In; view of th® Christmas requirements large numbers of • poultry have been coming to hand, and all have been cleared at satisfactory rates. Veigetlables.—Choice cabbage 'is Jin good demand and satisfactory prices are being realised. Cauliflowers art scarce and high prices ruling. Oioice < lettuce is realising fair prices. Oarrots, parsnips and beeitroot are arriving in small parcels and selling freely at high rates. Spring onions and white turnips are also meeting ready -ale. Choice Hutt grown green peas are in good demand at excellent rates. F'rujit.—Supplies of Hutt tomatoes are restricted and high rates are ruling. Very well packed lines of Nelson tomatoes are arriving and selling freely at good prices. Plums, poaches antl' apricots are in fair supply and the demand being good satisfactory prices are realised.
