Supplies of old potatoes have now practically ceased; new potatoes aro coming in more freely and the demand being good excellent prices are maintained. Wheat is still very firm at reccnt rates. Good business is being done in maize which shows ii slightly weaker tendency. Oats iivi firm, but little business is doing. Pollard and bran are steady. There is a fair demand for dressed pork -which is in short supply, prices showing a decline owing to the wanner weather. Eggs are in good demand, and show a slight advance in price. Honey is dull of sale. There is an excellent demand for poultry and excellent prices are being; 'realized. Supplies of choice cabbage have Fallen off somewhat and high prices are ruling. Choice cauliflower are in good demand and bring fair prices. Lettuce shows much improved enquiry and higher rates are ruling. Parsnips. carrots, turnips and beetroot are in short supply and meet keen competition. Spring onions and leeks ' are selling are selling freely. Present supplies of rhubarb are of excellent quality and although plentiful, bring good prices. Larger supplies of green peas have been available, and prices have declined. Strawberries, passions and gooseberries are arriving in fair quantities and aro readily bought up at satisfactory rates. Loval cherries aro more plentiful and meet with good demand Hutt hot-house tomatoes are arriving in small parcels and aro bringing satisfactory' prices, Pollard.—£7 10s per ton.
