Supplies of old potatoes have now practically ceased; new potatoes are coming in more freely and the demand being good excellent prices are maintained. Wlieat is still very firm at recent rates. Good business is being done in maize which shows ; slightly weaker tendency. Oats an firm, hut little business is doing. Pollard and bran are steady. There is a fair demand for dressed pork which is in short supply, prices showing a decline owing to the wanner weather. Eggs are in good demand, and show a slight advance in price. Honey is dull of sale. There is an excellent demand for poultry and excellent prices are being; 'realized. Supplies, of choice cabbage have fallen off sojnewhat and high prices are ruling. Choice cauliflower are in good demand and bring fair prices. Lettuce shows much improved enquiry and higher rates are ruling. Parsnips. carrots, turnips and beetroot are in short supply and meet keen competition. Spring onions and leeks are selling are selling freely. Present supplies of rhubarb are of excellent quality and although plentiful, bring good prices. Larger supplies of green peas have been available, and prices have declined. Strawberries, passions and gooseberries aire arriving in fair quantities and are readily boftght up at satisfactory rates. Loval cherries are more plentiful and meet with good demand Hutt hot-house tomatoes are arriving in small parcels and are bringing satisfactory prices. Pollard.—£7 iOs per ton.
