All the coal mines in tliis district are working full time and there appears to be nothing to disturb tho ordinary employment in the way of working conditions. The labour organisations however are holding roeetintrs throughout tho Greyinouth district passing resolution asking for tho repeal of the Oomivul' cry Military < Service Act and the taking of a referendum. Me?ers Webb. M.P., and Howard, of Christehurch. are the principal Speakers against conscription.
