Supplies of old potatoes have now iractically ceased; new potatoes ate ;oming in more freely and the demand jeing good excellent prices are mainlined. Wheat is still very firm at recent rates. Good business is jeing done in maize which shows ; slightly weaker tendency. Oats av( firm, hut IfEtle business is doing. Pollard and bran are steady. Thero is a fair demand for dressed pork whicli is in short supply, prices showing a decline owing to the warmer weather. Eggs are in good demand, and show a slight advanco in price. Honey is dull of sale. Thero is an excellent demand foT poultry and excellent prices are being; 'realized. Supplies of choice cabbage have fallen off somewhat and high prices arc ruling. Choice cauliflower are in good demand and bring fair prices. Lettuce, shows much improved enquiry and higher rates are ruling. Parsnips, carrots, turnips and beetroot are in short supply and meet keen competition. Spring onions and leeks aro selling are selling freely. Present supplies of rhubarb are of excellent quality and although plentiful, bring good prices. Larger supplies of green peas have been available, and prices have declined. Strawberries, passions and gooseberries a're arriving in fair quantities and are readily bought up at satisfactory rates. Loval cherries are more plentiful and meet with o;ood demand Hutt hot-house tomatoes arc arriving in small parcels and are bringing satisfactory prices. Pollard.—£7 lbs per ton.
