BUSINESS' ROTES
Mr J. Bovev advertises a sale of boots and shoes now on. Levin live stock sales will be held as usual next Tuesday. Entries are advertised in to-day's Chronicle (page 3) by Abraham and Williams, Ltd., and Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. respectively.
Through the courtesy of the Red Cross committee. Mr Ken Aitken, bookseller, wil again make use of the shop next to Mrs Hall, tobacconist. It is Mr Aitken's intention this year to make even more elaborate preparations for the reception of Father Christmas, who will, of course, arrive as usual in his specal motor car.
Mr "VV. M. Clark has a (Christmas advertisement in to-dav's Chronicle. Women's and maids' coats are reduced in price and will be displayed in the windows during the next fortnight. Summer costumes and dresses a/re to receive "deep-price cuts." A visit to Clark's showroom should b profitable for keen buyers. A monster bargain carnival in all departments of (Messrs ©biles and Matheson's shop commence on Saturday. December 9 th. They invite reader to peruse the advertisement in to-day's paper.
