OkL potatoes are firm in price, but transactions are small; most supplies held are Australian grown. New potatoes have returned to normal during the last few d'ays. Values should however decline as the new season's supples arrive. There lias been a very sharp advance in wheat whtch has risen Od per bushel during the last, fortnight. Maize also is higher, doubtless in sympathy with wheat Oats are firm but very little business passing. Pollard and bean are steady. Oil account of the warmer weatlier dressed pork is not in such keen demand, and prices show a declining tendency. Eggs are firm. Honey is dull of sale. Poultry is in exceptional demand and fancy prices are beiing realized. Vegetables.—Choice spring cabbage still continues to arrive in large quantities and values are much lower. Large consignments of cauliflowers are coming into the market, and low prices are obtained. Choice lettuce is realizing high prices. Goodi table carrots and parsnips are in excellent demand. Celery, spring onions and leeks cause keen competition. Rhubarb is more plentiful and prices axe weaker. Choice green peas fetch high prices but inferior lines are slow of sale. Fruit.—Strawberries, passions and gooseberries are arriving in larger quantities and realize satisfactory prices. Local cherries are arriving in larger quantities and meet with good demand. Pollard.—£7 10s per ton. Wheat.—Good whole fowl 6s 6d bus. Maize—ss lOd per bushel. Oats.— Feed 4s per bushel; special quotations for large lots. Partridge peas.—Seed 7s 6d per bushel.
