Okl potatoes are firm in price, but transactions are small; mo-t supplies held are Australian grown. New potatoes liave returned to normal during the last few days. Values should however decline as the new season's supples arrive. There lias been a very sharp advance in wheat which hats risen (3d per bushel during tlio last fortnight. Maize also is higher, doubtless in sympathy with wheat Oats are firm but very little business passing. Pollard and bran are steady. On account of the warmer weatner dressed pork is not in such keen demand, and prices show a declining tenJ dency. Eggs are firm. Honey is dull of sale. Poultry is in exceptional demand and fancy prices are being realized. Vegetables.-—Choice spring cabbage still continues to arrive in large quantities and values are much lower. La'ige consignments of cauliflowers are coming into the market, and low prices are obtained. Choice lettuce is realizing high prices. Goodi table carrots and parsnips are in excellent demand. Celery., spring onions and locks cause keen competition. Rhubarb is more plentiful and prices are weaker. Choice green peas fetch high pi - ices bnt inferior lines are slow of sale. ■Fruit.—Strawberries, passions and gooseberries are arriving in larger quantities and realize satisfactory prices. Lfucal cherries are arriving in larger quantities and meet with good demand. Pollard.—£7 10s per ton. Wheat.—Good whole fowl 6s 6d bus. Maize.—ss lOd per bushel. Oats.-— Feed 4s per bushel; special quotations for large lots. Partridge peas.—Seed 7,s 6d per bushel. Potatoes.—£l4 per ton. New potatoes.—2d to 2|d. Cabbage.—Choice 5e to 7s; medium 4s per sack.
