CLEANING-UP.
(To the Editor). Sir,—After three days of deep pondering -Messrs A'.tken and Matheson proved that "two heads are not better one, even if it is donkey's head." Their letter is a conglomeration of faWacies, contra tic tions and incongr uities. First of all they say that i was certain 99 in every 100 residents of Levin were of the same opinion as myself. Now, in my letter, F.said, '"Would give a different interpretation." It is evident they de not know the diffeience between the two words, or they have substituted opinion for interpretation in order tcr mislead your readers. 1, being simply a critic, are they consistent in calling me a leader? Ajs there is 110 cause, how fail 1 have followers and be a champion? It, lis limply nonsensical. They boast of having ver.v able' "backu'ifi." "C'lean-up" and '•'paintup" naturally conveys an idea of cleanliness and any sensible .man will gladly approve of it, but keeping the details shrouded in my.stery gives anyone the impression that they have none, or that they keep them back to give people a surprise. Time w'll tell. Regarding advertising: 1 give them credit of being cute business men; as for the rest permit me to use an Americanism and say that 1 renerve my right of "thinking hard," — Finis.'—l am, etc. MAROQ FOSELLA.
