Maize also is higher, doubtless in .sympathy with wheat Oats are firm but very little business passing. Pollard and bran are steady. On account of the warmer weather dressed pork is not in such keen demand, and prices show a declining tendency. Eggs are firm. Honey is dull of sale. Poultry is in exceptional demand and fancy prices are beiing realized. Vegetables.—'Choiice spring cabbage still continues to arrive in large quantities and values are much lower. Large consignments of cauliflowers are coming into the market, and low prices are obtained. Choice lettuce is realizing high prices. Good table carrots arid parsnips are in excellent . demand. Celery, spring onions and 'leeks cause keen competition. Rhubarb is more plentiful and prices are weaker. Choice green peas fetch high prices but inferior lines are slow of sale.
