New potatoes have returned to normal during the laet few days. Values should, however-, steaduly decline as new seaeon's suplicH arrive. There has been a very sharp advance in wheat, which has 'risen Gd per bushel d'urJng the week. -Maize is also higher, doubtless in sympathy with wheat. Oats are firm, but very little business passing. Pollard and bran are steady. Oji account of the wanner weather, dressed pork is not in srieh keen demand, and prices show a declining tendency. 13ggs are linn. Honey is dull of sale. Poultry is in exceptional demand, and fancy prices are being realised.
\ egetablee.—There is an abundant supply of spring cabbage arriving, and valnves have klecimed. Cauliflowers are in good supply, audi prices are much lower. There is an excell.ii demand! for choice lettuce, and fair prices are ruling. Choice table carrots and white tiiTiiips are bringjjig high prcies. Celery, spring onions, and leeks eain-se keen competition. The demand remains good for rhubarb, which i!s fairly plentiful. Choice Nelson green peas are in good demand, but infer.or lines are hard to qiut. i' i'u it).—Strawberries, passions, and Gooseberries are arriving in small parcels, and) causing keen competition.
