CLEARING SALE AT MANAKAU. The New Zealand Loan and 'Mercantile Agency Company Limited, report: On Monday we held a most successful sale of dairy stock on account of Mr T. Clifford, of Manakau. There was a large attendance of buyers and good prices were obtained. The herdi of 42 cows averaged Oncluding three guaranteed cows and late c-alvers) £12 12s, the range of prices being: £15 to £'19 for best cows; fair cows £10 to £14 Iok; late calvers and three-quartered cows £9 to £9 17s Cd; yearling hoifers £4 15s to £5 (is; small calves 16s; wearier calves 38s (id ; Jersey bull £10 ss; light harness horses aged £14 to £15; harrows £5; spring trap £7 los. Sundries realized go<cd auction rates.
A pet lamh. donated >bv Miss Margaret Clifford, in aidi of the Manakau Patriotic Fund, was sold and re-sold, and the fund benefited to the amount of £7 4s. -tjb r * .mamma*
