Wellington, October 30. potatoes are still very liigli in price and mipplies appear to be -> short. Shipments are still arniving from Australia. Wheat and oats a'le firm at recent rates. Maize shows no change. Good business is doing in pollard and bran at recent rates. Dressed pork is still in short supply and the demand keen. Supplies of honey are now available and there is a fair demand'. Eggs continue to be in excellent demand at the same rates as last week. Linseed oil cake meal for stock feediin.g is being nsedi in increasing quantities with satsfactorv results. T/arge consignments of spring cabbage are arriving and values have declined. Choice cauliflowers are in short supply and realizing high prices. Choice lettuce are in fair demand. Swedes are scarce and high rates 'ruling Parsnips, tahle cairots and white turnips meet with good dennnd at satisfactory rates. Celery, spring onions, and leeks also are selling well. The market is well supplied with rhubarb and satisfactory prices are being obtained. Nelson green peas are arriving daily and meet with ready sale.
