Tine 'Recruiting 'Board ha 9 teen advised 'that the Government Statistician will be in a position after November IKb to take a ballot under the .Military Service Act, and in view of that information, it has been decided and Cabinet has approved, that voluntarily enlistment for the 24ih draft is to cease on the 11th November, and a ballot is to be taken iin the ensuing week to make good any shortage in reinforcamenfcs then existing. Voluntary re-' eruiting will be relied on for the raising of the 23 rd Reinforcements. Messrs Hemingway and Robertson's Correspondence Schools, 1/td., aire the subject of a new advertisement on page 3of to-day's issue. Accountancy, book-keeping, shorthand, and a complete business training are in the curriculum of these schools.
