Southern potatoes are firmer in price since last report, and importations from Australia are now on the market. Wheat remains stationary. Oats are firm at recent rates and not much business doing. There is a good enquiry for maize and the price is unchanged. Pollard and' bran are selling well and recent prices have been maintained. The market is practically bare of dressed pork and a keen demand exists. Supplies of honey are now available and tihere is a fair demand. Eggs continue to be in excellent demand and prices remain the same as last week. Linseedi oil cako meal for stock few!in'; is being extensively used with satisfactory results. Vegetables.—Spring cabbage is coming in in large quantities and good lines are realizing fair prices. Cauliflower are in very short supply and high prices are ruling. Choice letuuce meet ready sale at satisfactory rates. Swedes now show an improved demand. Parsnips, white turnips and tabic carrots are in short supply and realizing high prices. Celery, spring onions and leeks are selling well. The diemand for rhubarb is good; supplies are increasing and satisfactory prices are being realized. Nelson grown peas have been sold in small quantities during the week. Fruit.—Choice dessert and cooking apples are in good demand and high prices are ruling. Choice pears are very scarce and eagerly bosght up at high prices. The alterations in prices from last week are as follow:— Wheat.—Good whole fowl, 5s sdi to os 6d per bushel.
