Bowling

(Foxton, Herald).

On Monday afternoon a three-rink, match was played oil the local bowling green between teams representing the Druids in this distrct and the local I club. The weather was perfect and I the green pla.yed well. The Druids' | team included members of the (Shannon, Levin and l'"oxton Clubs. A rink' was also expected from Otaki, but as several rinks from the Hirtt Club visited O'taki al the available players were required for their own green, and could not make the trip to Foxton. Two games of fifteen heads each were ■played by eaoh rink, and the result was a win for the Druids by 88 points to 84. The visitors were entertained at afternoon tea by the local club. At the conclusion of the match the president (Mr D. Wliibley) thanked the visitors for their attendance, and congratulated them on their -win. Mr J. Mclntyre, on behalf of the Druids, said that the afternoon had been very enjoyable, and tbey very much appreciated the hrspitable manner in which i
