Li. nt. | Gladstone Ward, while motoring to London, collided with a tram in the darkened streets. The motor car was smashed and Lieutenant iWard was removed to the hospital with a bruised face and hie head cut. SENTENCED TO DEATH. Sydney, October 19. Kennedy and Franz were found guillty :of the murder of Constable Duncan, and w.ero sentenced to death.
