Bubonic Plague
SENSATIONAL ALLEGATION BY BRISTOL DOCTOR. At a meeting of the Bristol Health Committee in August last, there was a .sensational development in connection with the bubonic plague outbreak in the city at that time. Dr Davies, medical officer of health, said that of the three cases being treated two had recovered and. no fresh cases had been discovered. Mr. Milton: Are we to understand your theory is that the infected rat you caught was deliberately infected P
Dr. Davies: 1 should not bo surprised. It is quite possible. I may have a further statement to make to the committee upon that point when
I made further investigations. Tht> L.G.B. have sent a bacteriologist wtoo< is now at work in the laboratory. Ships from plague areas are to be carefullv watched. ,
