Southern potatoes are firmer in price since last report, and importations from Australia are now on the market. Wheat remains stationary. Oats are firm at recent rates and not much business doing. There is a good enquiry for maize and the price is unchanged. Pollard and: bran are selling well and recent prices have been maintained. The market is practically bare of dressed pork and a keen demand exists. Supplies of honey are now available and there is a fair demand. Eggs continue to be in excellent demand and prices remain the same as last week. Linseedi oil cake meal for stock feeding is being extensively used with satisfactory results.

Vegetables.—Spring cabbage is coming in m large quantities and good lines are realizing fair prices. Cauliflower are in very short supply and high prices are ruling. Choice letuuce meet ready sale at satisfactory rates. Swedes now show an improved demand. Parsnips, white turnips and table carrots are in short supply and realizing; high ■prices. Celery, spring onions and leeks are selling well. The diem and for rhubarb is good; supplies are increasing and satisfactory prices are being realized. Nelson grown peas have been sold in small quantities during the week. Fruit. dessert and cooking apples are in good demand and high prices are ruling. Choice pears are very scarce and eagerly bought up at high prices. The alterations in prices from last week are as follow :— Wheat.—Gocd whole fowl, 5s scl> to os 6d per bushel.
