(To the Edit-or). ►Sir, —I read with sonic surprise in your issue of yesterday that the dmv Domain Board the .borough council) had spent aid its money on the reserve and was waiting for the next sis; months' rent to come in. When 7 was on the reserve the other day I saw that some improvement*) had been effected, but to my idea they would have been covered by a twenty-pound note. I suppose the now board is compelled to expend all its revenue on the particular lake domain it is Get up to control, but have the Levin people any guarantee that this policy will be always continued? I hope it will; it would be unfair to do anything eke. There shouldi be a quarterly statement issued as to receipts and expenditure in connection with the lake domain, and it should I be the aim of borough eomucillors to develop this domain in a way that will I make it one of the mast popular resorts around Levin. _ Tn saying what T hove saidl about expenditure T do not wish I to ruffle anybody's feelings, but 1 w : eh to have the public taken fully into the [ confidence of the new board. Although the borough council litvs appointed itself ns the sole administrative body, it should remember that ns a domain board it is not responsible to tbo borolurh council. "Personally T think the council should: have asked Mr Peter Stewart, chairman of the old board," whose many years of labour in the interests of the old board are so well known, to take n seat on the new board.
