The supply oF dressed pork is still considerably (short of the demand which continues keen. Honey is scarce. Eggs ire in -good demand at last week's rates. Linseed old cake meal i« being used in increasing quantities with satisfactory results. Vegetables.—Owing to the largely in- ] creased demand for military purposes all lines of vegetables are realizing high prices. Cauliflower and cabbage especially have shown a marked advance. Choice lines of lettuce cause keen competition. Parsnips, table carrots and white turnips are in very good demand and meet ready sale. Celery, spring onions and leeks are also selling freely. Swedes are slow. Rhubarb is arriving in increasing quantities and meets excellent demand at satisfactory prices. Fruit:—Choice detcert and cooking apples continue scarce and excellent prices arc realising -for well packed lines. Dessert pears are eagerly bought up at high rates.
