Tremewan. farmer, g the claim being for £185. alleged to be it, due as commission on the sale of dei- fondant's interest in a native lease at i[ (Shannon to -Messrs Barber 13r05., for o £'3700, commission being at the rate of 5 per cent. After referring to the [. negotiations, the Magistrate said that in lii.s opinion plaintiff had established, n his claim to commission unless precluded by .Section 13 of the Land Agents' n Act. 11'12. 'That section enacted that t a' land agent shall not be entitled to Ii sue for or recover any commission, reward or remuneration for or in respect r of the sale or other disposition of landi . or of any interest in land made or , effected after the coming into operation _ ol t'his Act unless (a) he was a holder , • of ia> license under the Act, or (b) his f engagement or appointment to act as ; agent in respect of such sale or dispo- : .sitii.n. was in writing sigi ed by the person to be. charged with such coinmission. rcwardi or remuneration.
