' Since the .beginning of the offensive the Franco-British on the Somme and ' the French at Verdun have captured 2fi() guns, <557 machine guns and 54,000 ' men. THE CAMPAIGN ,IN FRAXOE. Pit ris, Sept. 14. A communique states :—Desperate combats oceured on our centre and right. Northward of the fiomme the Germans recaptured Boislebbe Farnr, hut the whole position was re-occupied. All our gains were maintained. Two thousand three hundred unbounded prisoners were taken on Tuesday and Wednesday. We appreciably extended our positions opposite Combles. We carried by assault southward of Priez Farm a whole system, of powerfully organized trenches. Important booty includes ten guns, several heavy gu.us, land forty machine guns in the Bouehavosnes sector alone. The German attack on recently conquered positions east of Floury was completely repulsed. AUSTRO-GERiMAN REPORTS. Amsterdam, Sept. 14. A Gorman official report says Our seaplanes on Mon'day iattaeked Russian warships at Constanza, and. hit a battleship, a destroyer and a submarine. On Tuesday we bombed and sank a destroyer in the Crntf of Riga. A Vienna communique states: Our hydroplanes successful I(v bombed railway establishment and military objects at Kerviguano; also at Menace arsenal .and the docks at Alberone fort and /Shiozzia shipyard. We have captured Slembon and Schellernburg. Sofia, September 14. A Bulgarian communique mentions heavy fighting in the Struma Volley and the capture of British prisoners. Bulgarian hydroplanes ,successfully bombed the fleet in Kavala harbour.
