The .New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report: We held our usual weekly stock sale at •Duunevirko on Ist inst. Only a small yarding of both sheep and cattle came forward to a ' moderate attendance of the public. Bidding for steers was brisk but, for other classes of stock bidding was only moderate, the market, for dairy vows being particularly daft. Wp» quote: — Slit-cp.—Ewes in lamb 27s 2d to 31s (id : hoggets 21s to 26s 4d ; 2-tooth wet Tiers 28s 3d : 2-tooth ewes 33s 9d. Cattle.—Dairy heifers £6 10s to £& ss: dairy cows £8 10s to £10; omptj heifers £5 &s (id ; yearling heifers £3"9 a yearling steers £5 lis.
