(To the Editor). iSir, —1 notice in to-night'fc paper that two men have been fined for shooting hares at Loviui. i have never seen any hares in or near Levin, but I have seen a good number at He-atherlea. 1 can also see my carrot crop being destroyed. My neighbour called me over his fence iast week, and I saw a great many of his mangels destroyed. "No doubt the ranger carried: out his instructions and prosecuted these men. but what we cropping farmers want to know is, are we simply to look on and see our crops destroyed?
