• OTAKI SALE.
Messrs l>algety auw Co., Ltd., Wellington, report having held their usual monthly Otaki sale on Tuesday, when they offered a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle to a good attendance of the public. Most ckisses of Jieep met with good competition, also cattle, and by the end of the sale they report practically a total clearance under
the hammer. Quotations: —Mixed agec : ewes in lamb to 20s; 2 a-ndi 4tooth ewes in lamb to 28s S>d; souiidmoutliecl ewes in lamb to 27s 8d; shorn i hoggets to los 9d; fat maiden ewes |to 30s; fat wethers to 34s <xl; springing cows £5 ss, £t> 12s 6d, £8 10s, £8 1 i>s to £9 10s; 18-months weaners £4 6s to £5 OS; fat cows to £11 os; yeai steers lo £2 As; yearling heifers to 345; weaner Heifers 23s to 365; 18nionths steers to £4 9s; fat heifers £o 2s 6d to £6 12s 6d; empty cows 17s 6d. to £7 17s; cows in milk £8. £10, £10 10s. A good yarding of dairy cows was submitted and realized satisfactory prices.
