bidding was brisk throughout tlie sale, and the herd of 15 head averaged .£.'l2 Cis 6d. Best cows made £13 to £16 2s 6d; good cows Cll to £12 10s; fair cows £9 to ClO 15s; springing heifers C 8 7s Bd to £9 2s fid: small wearier heifers £2 3s'; Holstein bull CIO; sows to farrow £5 17s fid to £6 ss; empty sow £2 16sweaner pigs IBs: spring cart geldiing £31 10s; dogcart £1-1 10s; spring dray £16 10s: s.f. plough £10. Sundries made good* values. We also mold on account of several other vendors 20 dairy cows coming to second calf at prices' ranginftg from C 8 to £12 12s fid ; 18-months heifers £4 0s 6d; bull £5 15s; aged spring cart gelding £!7 or ; fair hoggete 20s to 21e 2d. LEVTN STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report that at their Levin sale on Wednesday they submitted a good yarding of sheep ami cattle. There was a good demand for |Cattle but fat sheep were slow or sale. Vendors' reserves in some cases being too high to allow business to result.
