Messrs Dalgety and Coinpamy Ltd. report having held their monthly sale at Otaki oh Tuesday when they submitted a heavy yarding of sheep and. a fair yarding of cattle. There was a large attendance and bidding was spirited throughout, a total clearance being effected. Prices ruled as follows:—

4 and 6-tooth store we there IJTs 3d to 32s Ld; 'J-tooth wethers to 27s 7d; fat wethers to 345; ewes in lamb 24s to 325; empty store ewes 18s 6d to 21s 6d; small woolly lambs 16s ld; 2-year steers £'G 14s tid; 2J-year; steers £8 9/; mixed wenners to 335; light-weight tVit cows to £7 13s.

Wheat has advanced slightly since lnt>t report and a fair amount of business is passing. l'ollard and bran are steady at recent rates. Pork is in very good demand at excellent prices. Honey is scarce and there is a keen enquiry for quantities. Linseed oil meal for stock feeding is being largely usod for all classes of stock. Cabbage and cauliflower are in good demand and fair prices are realized for tTieee. Choice lettuce is selling at high rates. Carrots, white turnips and parsnips »re in Better supply andi prices have weakened. Marrow and pumpkins are in fair demand at improved rates. Swedes are plentiful and values are less. There is an excellent demand for choice dteosert apples which are bringing good prices. The demand is also good for cooking apples. Choice dessert pears are keenly enquired If or.
