Field, M.P. for Otaki electorate, said he was glfld the Minister had been able to do away with the mortgage tax. It seemed to be forgotten that the farmer had to piy enormously increased prices for various goods not unbd by the ordinary consumer, such as fencing material and grass seed. There was no need to fe»r bogus mortgages.
