EMBEZZLEMENT OF TRUST MONEYS.
Paimerston, This Day. William Toswill, solicitor of Pahiatua, who has been residing at Palmerston for a fortnight, whs arrested yestei day oin two charges of alleged theft of trust monies. He appeared at the Pol'ico Court this morning. Detective Quirk said that the charges against the accused were that on about, July 10th, 1910, lie did steal £180, the property oif Sell in a BoxaJl; andi thalt on July 10th, 1913, he did steal £60, the property of SelLna Boxall. Detedtive Quirk said that a in umber of other serious charges would be preferred against accused. The police applied to have case remanded lor hearing at Pahiatua in a week's time. This was granted, and accused was admitted to bail in two sureties of £100 each. HASTINGS RACKS.
