flie first part" of the "Million Dollar Mystery" was screened iby Garland's pictures last evening, and it at once set those present wondering as to the ownership of the pair of hands, that i-eaching out of the darkness into the rays of the electric torch quickly manipulate the lock of the safe and abstract the million dollars. This is the very brief space of time in which the hunted man makes his escape from the roof■ hy baHoOn, and the entry into the room by members of the secret society. The whole is mysterious and puzzling, and last night's episode is full of dramatic incident. Judging from what was shown last night, the great praise bestowed on tlft? picture elsewhere is not undeserved.
Many others interesting pictures were shown, a specially netaWe one being the working of a mine for the destruction of shipping- Tli-e program was brought to a conol union with a fine Kevstone comedy.
