ORATORS AND OTHERS.
(To the Editor) Sir,—"W.M.F." should cut out that letter of "Common Sense" in last Thursday's Chronicle, frame it carefully i and hang it up close to his pew. I fancy that us a minor it would roflect his handsome whiskers to a nicety. If the writer who is penning this screw at present, or anyone el.se. took into his head, the idea of strutting about 'in in on g amused spectators with the dignity and profound hearing of a clurky hen. with Scripture mottos, placarded on the port" side of his person, while insisting that he could only <see political "cranks" in the distance. it would fairly be thought tlvat his ((insistency was below par, and he wonl<l be presented with a lookingjihiKs. The question then rarises: Tf .Mrs j>oll aldson is 0110 of those contemptible soap-box orators and cranks, what is T 'W.M.F."P No matter what volume of mouldy vurmieulair "AV.SI.I'V employs, he cannot make asinine conceit apprar like sensible criticism. The fact i« tliat for mentality, char insight «ud other respoets the overage Lahour organizor is as much above "W.M.1 , .,, as ft lion -is above a flta. I doubt it -Mis Don-akl-son would be flattered it "W.M.I'V offere<l to lek the clay ol h<-,- discard-
