* WAIKANAE SALE. Messrs Abraliam and Williams report having had a good) yarding of both sheep and cattle at their Waikanae sole on Tuesday last. Keen competition existed for all lines and bar one pen of cattle we have to report a total c Vara nee at the following quotations:— --
Sheep.—Fat wethers and maiden ewes 29s 9d to 32a Gd; fat. ewes 26s 9d to ,27s 6d; fat owes land wethers 24s odi to 27s 6d; empty ewes 10s 1d; lambs I6s Gd.
Cattle.—3-year steers £8 2s to £8 18s; 2J and 3-year steers £7 10s; tat bullocks £14; fat cows £9 12s; 18moiiths to 2-year empty heifers £3 10s; forward cows CI 12 to JR3 7s; cows iu milk £8 5s to £10 lis.

Ohristchurch, June 14. There was large yardings of store sheep and smaller entries of fat cattlo and fat, iambs at Addington markot today, good attendance. Store sheep sold well, especially good: ewes, owe lambs and forwtard wethers, '''at cattle sold at improved rates and tat lambs were firmer. Owing to keen competition by a few of the exporters tho fat slinep market opened wel>, and the heavy yarding wns all absorbed at late rates. Store cattle were dull of sale, hut pigs were in good demand.
