At a recent meeting held in the Town llall, Wellangton, it was resolved to con.muniente with the mayor of each town in New Zc-.iliaiKl, requesting them to kindly interest the citizens sufficiently to raise a donation of CIO 10s towards f -hr fund. The response alrend.v to hand is most gratifying, viz., that plensure the money wili lie forthcoming. All who wish to asstiet in brightening the evenings of our brave soldiers Sire urged to forward tlier donation to the mayor, or to Mrs Rolleston, lion, secretary to the tund, 256 Lambton Quay, Wellington. «p«—a—as——^
