Grey mouth 23 No. 12 Nelson 13 Total surplus for Canterbury military district 2 No. 13 Dunedin city 35 No. 14 Invercargill 3 No. 15 Oamaru 1& No. 16 Milton 1 Total shortage for Otago military district 62 The total shortage for the Dominion for the 18th Reinforcements is 102. There was existing, at the same date, a shortage on the previous drafts and owing to wastage in camp of 88, or a total shortage of 190, under all headß, and over a fortnight in which' to make up this leeway.
