[electric telegraph—copyright.] [per press association.] 1 iSIK ERNEST SHAUaL&TON. London, June 1. The ''Daily Chronicle publishes a message signed "Shackleton," dated Port Stanley. Falkland Intends, .May 31. which says:— "1 hare arived here. The Endurance was crusted in the middle of the Weddel Sea on the 27th October, 1915, and drifted 700 miles in ice. until April 9, 1916. "We landed, at Elephant Island on April 16. I ioffr on April 24, leaving two men in a hole in the ice cliffs, and procrededi fbr lie!)) to South Georgia, with five men in a twenty-two foot boat. At the time of leaving the island all were well, but there is urgent need for a rescue expedition."
