/per. i'hess association.] LAND FOR SOLDIERS. Wellington, This Day. Matters relating to land for returned soldiiere were discuased to-day (by the Premier and Sir Joseph Ward) with a deputation from the Wairarapa Patriotic Society. The deputation put forward .suggestions for assisting the Government in selection of land for returned Boldiers, andi urged that the Govement should take, for leturned soldiers, the Stoney Greek Eestate (of 19,000 acres) near Martinborough. The estate is owned by Mr C. Algal','who is willing to sell it. The Premier stated that the chairman ot the Land Purchase BoardT would vistl the estate as soon as possible and furnish a report.
