« iST. JOHN THE BAPTIST'S OHUR'-U (OiiAli). Tiie annual meeting ot parialn'oiiuis was held oil Wednesday afternoon. The vicar, the Rev. H. T. Stea-ley, XI.A., presided. Mr J. Kebbell stated the tinauieial year ending March 31st, 1010, started with a balance oi a little over £4; it ended with practically tlie same. The en m of £46 10s sd. had been raised iby collections and donations, of wliicli £40 had 'been paid toward's the vicar'a stipend. insurance oi tJie church took £1 19s 2d; and £4 13s 3d: has been given to outside objects through special offertories. ill- lvebbeil moved thru, -the accounts ibe adopted. This was seconded by Mr Olson andi carried. Mr Olsen proposed that £3 ot Mie balance in hand be put into the Post Office Savings Hank. Mr Kelbfoell 'econed; this resolution, and it wins carried. The following were elected as churchwardens and vestrymen Mr Kebbell, vicar's warden ; Mr Oleen, people';) warden; -restrymen, Mews* DsaAh, Giles, Horrobin, "Mc.Lenvtfy, Mudgway. Pink, Sheargold, nnd Thorley. It was proposed iby Mr Kebbell and seconded bY Mr Mudlgway that Mr Shen.rgold act as auditor. Mr J. Kebbell asked permission from the vestry to erect a stained glass window in the east end of the church to the memory of his two dmiglHers who were drowned Rome years ago in the Ohan river, and also to his son who fell at the Dardanelles. It ins proponed: by Mi* Deatli and seconded by Mr Mudigwav "That Mr Kebbell be granted permission to erect the stained glat-s window."—Carried. Before the close of the meeting the virnr thanked all those who had helped wiith the services of the church and Sunday school during the year. especially Mr Kebbell amd Mr Olsen, churchwardens; Miss Kebbell, wiho *cted an organist; Mr O. Horrobin who taught in the Sunday school before he left for the front; and Miss Olsen iinl Mr Thorley who now teach m : the Sunday school
