MacGarthy, a taraior, found Casement's boat and noticed, footprints on the seashore. Hearn, of the Irish Constabulary, took the boat, pistols and ammunition from the previous witnesses, and toun-i Casement, who gave the name ol Morton, saying that he was the author of the ''Life of Saint Brendan." ANOTHER DEATH SENTENCE COMMOTED. A number of the Enniscorthy rebel ringleaders have been tried. One was sentenced to death, which sentence was commuted to ten years imprisonment. When the Rt. Hon. H. H. Asquitb visited Richmond barracks 100 rebels were awaiting transfer to Englandi ..nd the officers took measures to prevent them seeing the Premier. Later he expressed a wish for a< closer acquaintance with the rebels, especially those who probably were duped and tricked into the rebellion. He talked with many, mere lads, to whom he used words apparently touching them deeply.
