MR CLEMENT WRAGGE AT LEVIN
AN INteUTtI'OTIVE LECTURE. In the Century Hall, last night, Mr Clement AVragge lectured' on- "The Eternal Universe and the 'War." I'he hall was comfortably tilled with an interested audience, which the lecturer entertained, instructed and astonished by turns. Mr Wragge's style of lecturing is as unorthodox as it is entertaining; ho avoids almost entirely the use of complex eoieiritific words, yet he makes very clear his intimate knowledge ot the marvellous distances <ind dimensions and drawing-powers of the myriad suns aind their satelites that epin in space and by their air waves promote and maintain the radio-activ-ity, wluoh I'atter-dlay scientists regard as the cause of life. The lecture was illustrated with many superb limelight ficetoes photographically representing the mountains and craters of the moon, tlie ,storms on the sun, and other astronomical truths that the untaught mind approaches with doubt. From first to last, the lecture was folio-red with rapt interest. A second lecture will ibe dlelievered by Mr Wragge this evening when liiis subject will be one of special reference to the land as affected by the reasons.
