LEVIN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The ordinary meeting of the Lo/in B'.i'uiigh Council was held in the Council Chambers la«t evening. There were present:—The Mayor (Mr <J. Blenkhorn), Councillors M. Fosella, E. M. 'Herrick, S. Jones, A. Dempsey, J. Harvey. Leave of absence was granted to Councillors Robertson and France. Regarding the request of Mr TV". M Fmlayson for the erection a gas lamp at the corner of Cambri3ge-street and Tyne-street; the gas manager reported tliot 'tlic total cost, including material nn l lfT-onr, would be £17. The Mayor moved and Counc.l.or "V.jelln seconded that the te o toted. Comlciflor Fosella remarked that it was a very dangerous crossing The motion was carried. In connection with the footpath the same vicinity it was reported that the repair work could not He proceeded with untjl some concrete pipes had come to hand. These now had arriv cd and the work now wouldi be carr'ed out.
