A meeting of the above was held jn the ihakara Hall on AYednesd.ay mgnt to receive reports of canvassers, which were considered most satisfactory. a large amount of stock and produce had ■been promised. The following and gentlemen were appointed committees of management for the day 01 the fflir (which is to he Wednesday, April 19th, opening at 2 p.m.) Tearooms, Alesckmes Gorriugo, Rutherford,' itixon, Broad holt and Moxliani : draperies and fancywork, Airs Shute. Houston and Miss McDonald ; homo industries, Mrs Palmes, Mrs Scott, Aliss fa. Bi'oajliolt and Ali-s Home; sweet'stall, Miss Taylor and Miss L. Ward; vegetables and produce, Messrs Gorringe, Horne audi J. Rolston; meat, Messrs jR. Butt and S. Rolston; stock, -Messrs Simpson, Richards, Moxham, Home, and Hurley, poultry Mr J. Ruthertoru. competition, Messrs Rixon and Seott. All the necessary arrangements wore ina-de to ensure the success of the effort and the cornniittee feels sure that, weather permitting, the sale will he a success.
