Two large German squadrons of cruisers and torpedo boats were seen going north. Tt is believed that they ore attempting to force an entrance into the Gulf of Riga which is now c ree from ice. A violent cannonade was heard. MORE SHIPS SUNK. London, April 'u. A German submarine torpedoed and sank the Clan Campbell in the Mediterranean without warning. The crew fvere saved. An Austrian submarine sank the John Pritchard in the Mediterranean. A submarine bombed and torpedoed the Norwegian mailing vessel ElisheJena in tlie North Sea. The ship was not sunk and tho crew saved. ANOTHER ZEPPELIN RAID. London, April 6. Official.—\ Zeppelin visited the north-east coast last night and dropped bombs. It was driven off by gunfire. \ ON THE TIGRIS. London, April 6. Experts attach the greatest-import-ance to tho victory at I m-el-hannat. The enemy's main advanced position is of great strength, naturally and arti- • fieially. It is situated on the north bank of the Tigris extending to the Suwiiaieha marshes, thus barring the approach to "Kutela.mara, twenty miles away.
