"NOT ACCEPTED'S'' GENERALITIES.
(To the Editor.) Wiiy-A letter .headed '.Men for the Front," over the signature of "Not Accepted" has been forwarded to me by some thoughtful person who appeal's to bo moulting. I auk them to accept my sincere thanks, as otherwise it wouldi have escaped my notice. Might 1 ask a little space to answer ".Not Accepted"? There were twentyfour "specials" wJio went from Levin on a certain notable occasion; of these eight are married men, of whom two are serving with the colours ; of the remaining -sixteen one joined the Natal Brigade in LoJidon and has since received the D.5.0.; one went to Franco with the King's Rifles; five went to Egpyt with the Main Body; five more have since enlisted, of whont one has been rejected as unfit. Of the remaining four, I have no information as to whether they have enlisted or not, but they evidently comprise your correspondent's "quite si
lot." Now this is a total of twelve out of sixteen—7o per cent, 1 think. On tlie strength ot this your render will admit that "Not AeC;»fletter is very misleading. — I am, etc.,
